What a busy week this week and last week in Y1!
We had a sample chess session which Y1 were particularly good at!
Tag rugby with Mr Hodgson today was so much fun. Please see our Twitter page for photos.
We have been focusing on finding the difference in maths and the Easter story this week. Some of the writing will blow you away next week at Parent’s evening.
Parent’s evening times have gone out tonight so please be sure to look in the children’s bags. Homework and world book day tokens are in there too.
I tried to send the practice homework via email over the weekend but could not set up the group email from my phone.
English: Continue to practise spelling the number words given last week (this is such an important thing for us to to be able to do in Y1)
Maths: Practise the 2x table in preparation for some spotlight challenges throughout the week.
In the format:
Miss Marland has been with us on her teaching placement for the past 8 weeks, supporting us with the organised chaos that is Christmas and teaching a variety of lessons in Y1!
We will all miss you very much Miss Marland and we will make your final week the best week yet! (With a little party to celebrate)
Lots of love, Y1 X
